Umphrey's McGee Announce New Year's Support and VIP Packages

Earlier today, Umphrey's McGee announced a cohesive cast of supporting acts as well as VIP ticketing option for their upcoming New Year's Eve run. Umphrey's will be playing four nights at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia with an opening act the first three nights and three full sets of Umphrey's face-melting mania on New Year's Eve.

The Bright Light Social Hour, a southern dance-rock group will be joining Umphrey's on their "first-ever" December 28 show. On December 29, the guys will be joined by the electronic rockers, Zoogma and on December 30, the party will get started with the guys of Moon Taxi.

If you're coming in from out of town, you may want to snag the Travel and umVIP Package. This package includes a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta, which has easy access from the Atlanta airport and more importantly is within walking distance from the Tabby. Along with the hotel stay, the Travel umVIP package includes: a VIP ticket for each night, early admission to the show, signed, limited-edition NYE poster, exclusive limtied-edition NYE merchandise, a VIP laminate, MP3 downloads of all three shows, access to the VIP section at the Tabernacle, a meet and greet with the band and a pre-party with food and cocktails on the 30th as well.

However, if you plan on couch surfing instead of getting a room, you can also purchase the VIP package sans travel amenties. This will include everything except for the hotel stay and speciality services at the hotel offered to umVIP ticket holders. If you're looking to rage in style, this is the way to go.

General admission and umVIP tickets go on sale Friday, July 20 at 12:00 p.m. CT through Umphrey's ticketing. Tickets will be discounted and you can purchase a four-show pass for $150.00, Dec. 28 to Dec. 30 single show tickets for $30.00 and New Year's Eve tickets for $60.00.

If you don't grab your tickets during the presale become open to the public via Ticketmaster on July 27 at 12:00 p.m. CT. At this time, a four-show pass will cost you $170.00, a Dec. 28 to Dec. 30 single show ticket will be $35.00 and New Year's Eve will cost $65.00.
