In 1970, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead and The Band headlined the Festival Express - a traveling tour through Canada by rail. This epic rock and roll event was a continuous party with constant jam session as the bands traveled together to different Canadian cities. Later made into a documentary, The Festival Express is one of the most revolutionary festival stories.
The modern-day Festival Express is being re-created by Skrillex and company this summer as Full Flex Express. The traveling train idea will merge Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Diplo, Grimes, KOAN sound and Tokimonsta on the Canadian railways. In this authentic setting, electronic music fans will be fantasizing about the magic being created on the train as it makes show stops in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver.
