Jefferson Airplane alumni, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady are gearing up to hit the road for a massive 2012 Hot Tuna tour. The tour will be in support of the band's latest release, "Steady As She Goes," which is their first album of new material in nearly two decades.
The founding members of Hot Tuna, Kaukonen and Casady, who have been playing together for over 50 years, will be joined by mandolin player Barry Mitterhoff and drummer Skoota "The Funky" Warner for the spring/summer tours.
The legendary musicians will be playing both acoustic and electric shows in various cities across the country. The spring run will kick off in Camden, ME in February and end in Cincinnati in March.
Stops at Wanee Music Festival in April and Caramoor Festival in June are the only shows scheduled for late spring/early summer before the band takes off for a late summer tour kicking off in Carrboro, NC on July 9. More information can be found on their official website.
