Confirming that Phish will not in fact be playing a Halloween show, pianist Page McConnell plans to play October 31 and November 1 at BB King Blues Club in New York City with Zigaboo Modeliste, Leo Nocentelli and George Porter Jr. - three-quarters of the original Meters lineup.

Tickets for "The Metermen" shows go on sale Friday, July 20 via the venue's website for both Halloween and the November date.

Phish is currently in the middle of the two legs of their summer tour that has seen some of their best playing in years according to phans, fluffers, critics and haters alike. Check out what staff writer Sean Wilmsen had to say about leg one and read our nightly Phish reviews to get a better idea of what's been going on.

The band is still expected to close out the year with a run at Madison Square Garden.
