Another NYE Celebration In The Big Apple For Phish

While fans ravenously speculated whether or not Phish would even play for New Year's Eve, the band announced they will be doing four nights in New York City's Madison Square Garden. The group has played MSG almost two dozen times, including a 2010 countdown of epic proportions and a handful of other NYE celebrations.

Last year's spectacle at the Garden included the quartet riding on a giant hot dog (or "Meatstick", if you will) while stage performers acted out the "Meatstick" dance and sang its chorus in at least six different languages as if the dance was modeled after an actual Broadway play. People saw the giant hot dog shaped red balloons the band was tossing out of the salchicha-craft all over the city when the show let out.
