[Check out Headstash's coverage of the 2012 Manifestation Celebration from the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science]

Set to take place on Friday, December 21, 2012 at The Parish in Austin, TX, the celebration will feature music from The Nadis Warriors featuring Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits on drums, trip-hop producer Blockhead, and Aucoin's solo project, DrFameus.

Numerous live painters, spoken word poetry, energy healing and live floral arrangements will round out the evening, inviting the conscious community to come together and celebrate the end of the old era and the beginning of a new time in human history.

December 21st, 2012 marks the end of the Long Count Mayan calendar, a day surrounded in duality. Some say it marks the end of the world and the coming Apocalypse; others take a different view, heralding it as the dawning of something to look forward to. Regardless of your belief surrounding this date, one thing is for certain: Austin, Texas will be hosting one hell of a party.

Tickets and full event details are available via the official website, with tickets going for the super heady price of $21.12. For those lucky enough to be attending Mayan Holidaze, this party is the perfect way to cap off the weekend, and it's just right over the border.

City Bisco Taps Diplo, A-Trak, RJD2, Tipper For Support

CityBiscoAdmatSITE.jpg

Earlier this morning, while the majority of Bisco nation was either trying to catch a few z's or continuing to rage after last night's opening party at Camp, festival curators and beloved jamtronica group The Disco Biscuits announced the lineup for their first ever City Bisco. Taking place on October 5 and 6 in Philadelphia, PA at the Mann Center, City Bisco provides a smaller, more affordable Bisco gathering, similar to Colorado's beloved Bisco Inferno.

As expected, the lineup features some of the most renowned names in EDM including producers Diplo, A-Trak, Tipper, RJD2, Paper Diamond and a rare appearance by one-time Inferno producer, Aeroplane - now consisting of one half of the influential disco house duo while the other pursues a solo career as The Magician

For those who are eager to see some live instrumentation other than tDB, fear not. Up-and-coming Midwest quintet Papadosio, psy-jam group The Nadis Warriors, Brothers Past, and Ott's live band - Ott and the All Seeing I - will be performing over the weekend as well.

The Disco Biscuits Announce "City Bisco" in Philadelphia This October

DiscoBiscuits_PhillySITE.jpg

Earlier today, Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner of The Disco Biscuits and Conspirator let their Facebook fans in on a little secret: that a huge announcement would be coming soon.

Well it only took a few hours for them to divulge that this October 5 and 6, The Disco Biscuits will be headlining their own two-day festival in (where else) their hometown of Philadelphia, PA known as City Bisco.

Rumors of an event with this name have floated around The Biscuits' community for years and this announcement couldn't have come at a better time. With only two other dates scheduled this year (Camp Bisco and Mayan Holidaze), The Disco Biscuits fanbase surely feels like a collective little kid on Christmas today.

[READ our News Nugs on Mayan Holidaze and Camp Bisco for more information on these events.]

City Bisco will take place at Philadelphia's The Mann Center and a full lineup and details will be announced soon.

The Disco Biscuits' official website also says, "In addition to the four screaming Biscuits sets, you can expect a healthy dose of the best bands and DJs from around the world."

Stay tuned to Headstash for all the details as they're announced. As always, check our 2012 Festival Guide for full lineups, ticketing information and analysis.

Conspirator Announces Live Album Release

Conspirator in New York City - Photo Credit: Evan Friedmann

Fans of the Conspirator will be dipping their hands into their wookie jars early this year thanks to the release of their "Unlocked: Live from Georgia Theatre" live album set to be released on April 10.

The announcement came today that the band would be releasing a compact disc and digital version of their October 6, 2011 performance at the famed venue before they make a return performance.

If the energy of being billed with Ghostland Observatory was not enough to make this a noteworthy performance, then the addition of Lotus' Mike Greenfield should make this a key purchase for diehard fans of the Disco Biscuits' Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner's side-project turned main-project.

Considering the timing of the release and the promise for "all kinds of musical surprises" throughout their run of two-set shows this spring, with the April 20th performance at the Georgia Theatre being the first of four, it can assumed that big things are in store from the Bisco boys. Check out a complete list of tour dates via our latest News Nug.
