Earlier today, the inaugural Counter.Point Festival added dubstep producer Porter Robinson and jamtronica group and Disco Biscuits side-project, Conspirator, to an already stacked bill.
Set to take place September 27 to 29 just 30 minutes south of Atlanta at a 350-acre scenic riverfront location, Counter.Point is essentially a showcase of both the up-and-coming and well-established talent of the recently exploding EDM scene. Porter Robinson and Conspirator join Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, AVICII, M83, Crystal Castles, Big Boi, Ghostland Observatory, Beats Antique, Lotus and Big Gigantic among others.

Other notable additions include producer duo Adventure Club, Up Until Now featuring David Murphy of STS9, Dr. Fameus featuring Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits and RUN DMT.
It will be interesting to see if all the big-name talent organizers are bringing in will pay off. 2007's Echo Project took place on the same location and featured a similarly heavy-hitting lineup including Phil Lesh and Friends, The Flaming Lips, Thievery Corporation, The Disco Biscuits, Umphrey's McGee, moe., Cypress Hill, Common and more.
Echo project did not do as well as organizers had hoped for, and the festival folded after its inaugural year - now, thanks to the burgeoning U.S. electronic music scene and the inclusion of a camping option, possibilities of a packed house seem highly likely.
