Yellow Dubmarine
Yellow Dubmarine kicked off the morning’s music early with their lovable blend of Beatles reggae. Playing to a surprisingly packed Grassroots Stage given their 9:30 a.m. time slot, Yellow Dubmarine treated the crowd to soothing morning music – the perfect tunes to begin the day. In their debut appearance at All Good amidst what’s already been a monstrous 2012 summer for the young band, Yellow Dubmarine did not disappoint.

Railroad Earth
With the sun beating down, Railroad Earth delivered an incredible set of their beautiful modernized bluegrass. “Old Man and the Land” sang poetry:
"I'd like the days here
I'd like the nights here
Here I will settle me down
I'll spend my days here
The rest of my days here
Here I will watch the world going 'round"
Equal parts beautiful and calming, the set was perfect for the timeslot. “Like A Buddha” had everyone smiling and “Long Way to Go” had an amicable friendliness to it. What’s not to love from a band with so much to offer?
Dark Star Orchestra
An early “Going Down The Road Feeling Bad” had the area grooving, as the shadow crept slowly towards the stage to the crowd’s relief.
In a funky version of “Fire On The mountain”, the audience sang together in unison before jumping into a fitting “One More Saturday Night.” An All Good staple, Dark Star delivered crowd-favorites and marked the beginning of the night.

The Bridge
Tim Walther took the stage before The Bridge to introduce the band to the crowd in what was their ninth consecutive All Good played – a fact, Tim declares, that gives them the record of the most consecutive All Good festivals played.
Maryland love was thick in the air as flags worked their way through the crowd. The Bridge began with “Good Rhythym” – the same opener they delivered to All Good during their set in 2009.
Chris Jacobs masterfully licked beautiful clean blues riffs over Kenny Liner’s mandolin, launching into something of a guitar/mandolin duel during “Chains.” It was in many ways a revival of All Goods past.
The Allman Brothers Band
As the highly anticipated festival headliner, The Allman Brothers served as a serious catch for All Good fans. The Brothers opened with “Don’t Want You No More > It’s Not My Cross To Bear.”

“Midnight Rider’s” familiar intro had the crowd jumping and singing along to the chorus in triumphant unison.
Their classic Southern sound was the major draw to All Good 2012, and they showed up to play for a solid 2.5 hours. The boys whipped the crowd up and took them for a ride, delivering them at the feet of Lettuce, where another party ensued.
Lettuce
Eric Krasno, Neal Evans, Adam Deitch, Nigel Hall – some of the names that represent the best in current funk, kept the party alive. From hit to hit, the 45-minute set was packed with funk that kept the crowd moving, and ready for the nights final dessert, Lotus.
Lotus
Lotus’s set was characterized by clean guitar tones plucked over blends of equal parts organic and electronic drum beats and walking bass lines.
By the time we were back to the campgrounds after the show, a slow trickle of cars were already beginning to leave. Part of the charm of music festivals is the feeling of satisfaction on the drive home. These early riders signaled the beginning of the end of a festival at its new home debut in Thornville’s Legend Valley.
